Reservations are not required for regular NYC Ferry service, as vessels operate on scheduled departures with first-come, first-served boarding. However, arriving early during peak times ensures seating availability, especially on popular scenic routes.

NYC Ferry integrates with the city’s OMNY contactless payment system used across MTA services. While traditional MetroCards aren’t accepted, the same payment methods work across subway, bus, and ferry transportation for seamless travel experiences.

NYC Ferry does not provide direct service to the Statue of Liberty or Ellis Island. These destinations require separate ferry services from Battery Park. However, NYC Ferry routes offer excellent views of the Statue of Liberty during harbor crossings.
